The Cornish GateAn old farm gate rests beneath a tangle of wind-shaped trees, its timber weathered by salty air and seasons. Beyond it, a whitewashed farmhouse sits against the gentle rise of the Cornish land, steadfast, solitary, and sun-touched. The air feels briny and still, as though the sea is just out of sight but very much present. It is a scene of threshold and belonging. A moment suspended between the wild hedgerows and the promise of hearth and home beyond.

Tide Gone OutBoats lying lazily on the warm sand for the return of the tide. An atmospheric image that evokes childhood memories of summers away, the smell of rock pools, and the ting ting of rigging against the mast.Dan Johns
The Road to PolperroI discovered this beautiful vignette heading to Polperro, in Cornwall one spring several years ago. It had been raining, and a fine mist hung in the air diffusing the light into a magical softness. I pulled to the side of the road to capture this moment of perfect stillness and peace never to be repeated.Dan Johns
